CotW:Umbreon

Umbreon is a card that is rarely used, but an extremely good card. He is a very good card in a "Hunter" deck. HP: Umbreon's HP is very good for a Stage 1 Pokémon. Having 80 HP is a BIG advantage for a Stage 2.

First Attack, Bite: Bite is a mediocre (average) attack for two energy. This attack is basicly two energy for 2 damage. In other words, this isn't why you would wean't to play Umbreon.

Second Attack, Feint Attack: This attack is very cool. You can eat away at your opponents bench. Or you can do 70 damage with 4 Darkness Energy attached to him to the Active Pokémon.

Weakness/Resistance & Retreat: Having no Weakness nowadays is a really nice advantage because there are so many ways to counter things with them. That is one reason Rocket's Zapdos is so powerful. Having no Weakness is a good thing but having no Weakness and a Resistance is awesome. Having a Psychic Resistance isn't the best you can get. but there are a few new Psychic decks popping up. His retreat is also extremely good. Usually you find Stage 1 Pokémon with a 2+ retreat, so that sets him aside from many others. His retreat is also good so you don't have to discard your precise Darkness Energy!

Prevolution: The Eevee you probably wan't to use is the Neo Discovery Eevee because you can attach a Darkness to him then flip a coin, if Heads you can search your deck for Umbreon! If tails, you wasted a Darkness Energy. And your doing damage to him, so you might wan't to use 2 ND, and 2 Jungle.

.:Rating Time:.

Standard: A very interesting card. 3.5/5
Modified: You could possibly win Modified tournements with him. Or play him for fun. 4/5
Draft: You can't play him without Darkness, so Ughh .1/5
