Card of the Week

Nidoking is used by many, but not very well known. He is very playable in many different situations.

HP: Nidoking's HP is mediocre for a stage 2 pokemon. Being able to get him out turn 2 with 90 HP is a bad thing to an opponent!

First Attack, Thrash: This attack just flat out stinks. You can use it on the second turn with a Double Colorless Energy, but that defeats the purpose of nidoking (using Toxic on turn 3) because you can use it on turn 4 =/. And by that time he will have damage piled on him if he isn't already KO'd

Second Attack, Toxic: When you use Toxic it does 20 right away, then 20 inbetween turns, then 20 when it is your turn. That is 60 damage for 3 Energy!!! That is a great attack. Even if they have a Gold Berry they will still take 20 damage. So when 2 of your turns pass that is 120 damage, knocking out any known Pokemon Card. If someone is using a Mr. Mime deck in your area, try this out!

Bottom Stats: His bottom stats arent that great. A weakness and no resitence is really bad, then you have to throw away all his energy away to Reatreat. Hopefully you wont have to Reatreat because he will be wooping your Opponents Pokemon

How to counter him?: He can be very easilly counterd with MP Mewtwo, Miracle Berry, Full Heal, and Full heal Energy.

.:Rating Time:.

Standard: this card can do good if played Extremely well.

Modified: I do not know if this card is in LC, but I will do him here anyway. He is a great Gatr killer, he knocks him out in two turns.

MMF:He is way to slow to keep up in this format, sorry.
