12/12/10: I have started working on the Pokemon Black and White Walkthrough.
12/11/10: I just uploaded the Poke-Amph Weekly Update for December 11th 2010.
11/27/10: I have started work on the Pokemon Black and White Pokedex.
07/30/10: I optimized the Heart Gold and Soul Silver Pokedex for multiple browsers. It now displays correctly in all browsers.
06/25/10: Follow Poke-Amph on Twitter. Now you can get the lastest updates from twitter. Also, I have added a page detailing Pokemon Black and White's Battle System.
06/19/10: I wrote an article about the new region in Black and White, Isshu. Check it out for some quick info. I also added images of the Japanese Black and White box art.
06/18/10: I added some Black and White game art. There are images of the new Pokemon, trainers, and the female Professor.
06/17/10: I added many more Black and White screenshots. I made the smaller images available a little bigger and sharper so it is easier to notice the minor details.
06/15/10: I reorganized the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section. It will be much easier to find what you are looking for from now on.
06/07/10: I have mobilized the Heart Gold and Soul Silver Pokedex. Check it out if you ever need a Pokedex on the go. It is being tested on my HTC Incedible but it should work on any smart phone. Today I decreased the file size of pages when viewing a Pokemon's stats for quicker loading on 3G networks.
05/15/10: I added some screenshots of Black and White.
05/11/10: I've been keeping up with updating the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section, but I've also started adding more information about Diamond and Pearl. The section was kind of bare up until now. It is quickly filling up with useful info so be sure to check it out.
04/12/10: Yet again, I have added more to the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section.
04/11/10: More has been added to the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section.
04/06/10: Today I added a page about the Move Tutors in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. I also organized the links in the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section so it will be much easier to find what you are looking for.
04/02/10: I added a few more pages to the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section today. I'm starting to get into EVs and IVs so I will probably make a beginning tutorial on those subjects soon.
03/28/10: Today I added to the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section. Go check it out.
03/24/10: I added more info and guides to the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section today. I also caught Zapdos and Suicune today. I wasted around 30 minutes on Moltres after it ended up knocking itself out with Struggle. I'll be sure to add more info tomorrow.
03/23/10: I added a ton of useful information to the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section. I'm still playing Heart Gold and now I'm training my team to level 100. If you want to battle me online send me your friend code to pokeamph (at) yahoo.com and I will send you mine.
03/22/10: I added a page for the battle with Red in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Check it out! Now that Heart Gold and Soul Silver is out I have been playing it pretty frequently. I'll be adding useful information as time goes on. If you need help raising your Pokemon check out the Heart Gold and Souil Silver PokeDex.
01/14/10:
I optimized the PokeDex code. Each Pokemon's page should load much faster than before. Each ability page loads faster now, too, but I can probably make it quicker.
12/12/09:
I decreased the size of the layout in half. The layout itself is now XHTML Strict valid. Unfortunately, the majority of the content on the website isn't valid so I had to declare the doctype as transitional. What this means is each page will load faster than before and will look as intended no matter what browser you use.
09/28/09:
Today I recoded the layout so it will load quicker than before. I'm going to keep working on it until all pages on this website load very quick.
09/23/09:
I finished up to Baltoy of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. I also cut down the code that displays the PokeDex to about one fourth its original size. Without getting into great detail, this means that it way more efficient and the pages will load much faster. I'm trying to make the Poke-Amph PokeDex the fastest loading and easiest to read PokeDex on the web, making it easier for you, the user, to find the information you want.
09/16/09:
I finished up to Whiscash of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
09/15/09:
I finished up to Flygon of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
09/12/09:
I finished up to Wailmer of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
09/11/09:
I finished up to Aggron of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. I also added a new poll so make sure to vote.
09/10/09:
I finished up to Skitty of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
09/09/09:
I finished up to Shedinja of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. I am winding down the Hoenn Pokemon to complete the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex before the release of Heart Gold and Soul Silver in Japan on September 12th.
09/08/09:
I finished up to Breloom of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. I plan finishing the Hoenn Pokemon within the next week.
08/08/09:
I finished up to Ludicolo of the Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
08/04/09:
I finished the first 9 Hoenn Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
07/19/09:
I haven't added anything to the site in a long time but I have started working on the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex again. I completed all of the Sinnoh Pokemon that you can't get until you have the National PokeDex. Now I am going to start the Hoenn Pokemon and once that's done the whole PokeDex will be complete (or at least at version 1.0).
06/24/09:
I completed all of the Kanto Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. Now all there is left to do is the Hoenn Pokemon and the PokeDex will be complete.
06/23/09:
I completed up to Electabuzz in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. Once I complete the Kanto Pokemon I just have to go through the Hoenn Pokemon and it will be complete.
06/22/09:
I completed up to Marowak in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
06/20/09:
Today I completed up to Poliwrath in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
06/18/09:
I uploaded a video update to the Poke-Amph YouTube channel. Be sure to check it out and leave comments. I also completed up to Persian in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
06/17/09:
I completed up to Wigglytuff in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
06/16/09:
I'm back and today I completed the first 20 Kanto Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. I should have the Kanto Pokemon complete by Friday and the entire PokeDex complete by the end of this month.
06/11/09:
I have been working on a search engine for the PokeDex over the last couple of days. It will allow you to search for Pokemon with a particular moveset and many other useful things. I won't be able to update the website until Sunday, but I will hopefully have the search page up sometime next week before Friday.
06/09/09:
I finished the Johto Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex today. I will begin work on the Kanto Pokemon tomorrow.
06/07/09:
I added a page for the new PokeWalk device for Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. It is a pedometer that tracks your footsteps and helps you increase your Pokemon's level and happiness. You can watch a video of it on Japanese TV on the new Poke-Amph Youtube Channel.
06/06/09:
I added pages for all Pokemon for the Diamond and Pearl Pokedex, but they are just place holders until I complete the information. I started working on the Johto Pokemon, and I'm up to Sentret. I plan on completing ten a day at the minimum so I will hopefully finish the PokeDex by the end of this month.
06/04/09:
I added a new section for Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, the recently announced remakes of Gold and Silver.
Also, we have a new affiliate, PokeGen! They are a great site that you should check out.
06/02/09:
I finally finished the moves learned for the first 151 Pokemon of the Sinnoh Pokedex in the Diamond and Pearl Pokedex.
06/01/09:
Little rant:
Instead of finishing the moves learned for the remaining Sinnoh Pokedex as planned, I started optimizing the website for Windows users. I personally hate Windows...XP, Vista, 8...it doesn't matter. They are all horrible operating systems. I personally use Linux and can't understand why anyone would put up with Windows. That is why Poke-Amph is best viewed in Linux running Firefox. Today was the first time I actually viewed the new layout in Internet Explorer and it looked horrible. The background images don't show up in IE which makes the layout look awful. I made the background colors of the table match what it should look like if Internet Explorer wasn't such a worthless program. I'm going to eventually try to make the layout compatible with all browsers, but in the meantime you should try Ubuntu because it is a wonderful operating system.
05/31/09: I started adding the moves learned for each Pokemon in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. I will finish it for the first 151 tomorrow, and then I will start working on the remaining Pokemon that are in the National Pokedex.
05/28/09: I added a 'previous' link and 'next' link to the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex for easier navigation.
05/28/09: I added abilities to the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. You can click the abilities for more information.
05/27/09: I added locations for the first 151 Sinnohdex Pokemon to the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
05/26/09: I added the in-game Pokedex entries for the first 151 Sinnohdex Pokemon to the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
05/25/09: Today I finished the first 151 entries in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. The Sinnoh PokeDex is complete! Now I will continue working on adding new information and completing the rest of the Pokemon in the National PokeDex.
05/24/09: Today I finished another 20 entries in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex, bringing the total to 120. The Sinnoh PokeDex is almost done!
05/23/09: I finished the first 100 entries in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
05/22/09: I finished the first 50 entries in the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex.
05/22/09: I added 18 new entries to the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. Don't forget to vote on the lastest poll to help decide the next information added to the PokeDex.
05/21/09: According to the last poll, you guys want a PokeDex. I started work on the Diamond and Pearl PokeDex. Expect the first wave of information (HM/TM compatibility) to be completed within the next week or two. I will add a new set of information after I complete the HM/TM compatibility. The Diamond Pearl PokeDex is always evolving (sorry, bad pun). Vote on the current poll to help me decide what information to add next.
05/12/09: Added an Game Art Gallery for Diamond and Pearl.
05/11/09: Added an Elite Four guide for Diamond and Pearl.
05/10/09: Added the 493 Sprites from Diamond and Pearl.

Nintendo recently announced "Pokemon Fire Red" and "Pokemon Leaf Green" will be released in the US during September! The first fake box art for Leaf Green has been found. It has been found on a Netherlandish website named Marktplaats (Market Place). The seller is named "bas". To look at the bidding page, click here. To view the fake box art, click here, or the image to the right. As for the box, it's image is cut in half, only showing the top. The text saying "leafgreen" isn't capitalized, and doesn't have a space between the two words. A pretty bad attempt if you ask me. Post Your Comments On The Forum! |

Once again, I added some new Fire Red & Leaf Green info to the website. I made a new page that shows what Pokemon are exclusive to Fire Red and Leaf Green. It lists the Pokemon along with sprites. I added a listing of the TMs and HMs that are available in Fire Red and Leaf Green. There aren't any new attacks in the TMs or HMs, which is dissapointing. In fact, the confirmed list of TMs and HMs in FR/LG is the exact same as the list in Ruby and Sapphire. To see the list of TMs and HMs in FR/LG, click here. I will hopefully be able to make a better page for that over the weekend, with the type of move, contest type, accuracy, power, and PP. Along with the TMs and HMs page, I added a page for the Trainers Eye that is in FR/LG returning from R/S. It now has a new feature that allows you to here a clip of a trainers voice that is in your Trainers Eye, which is called the "Voice Checker". To see the page about the Trainers Eye, which includes a screenshot, click here.

When you go there you can find Bill, and a new character named Nishiki. There isn't much more info known about the new islands. To see the new section about the Mystery Islands, click here. Some more new info about Fire Red & Leaf Green is that there is more to do with the Wireless Adapter then just battling and chat. You can now also play mini games with other people. Sorry I didn't get a chance to update for the past 5 days. I had to take some tests at school, so that meant I had to study. Recently, a problem has been spotted in many Japanese Ruby and Sapphire games. It seems that the in-game clock has been messing up, which causes certain acts to not work properly. One act being the growing of berries. Without time passing by, berries won't grow. Another act that doesn't work anymore are the lottery ticket drawings. Anyone in Japan that finds a problem with their game can go to a service center, where they can get a patch downloaded to fix the problem. It isn't known if this problem will affect American games. If anything is found out about this problem in any other countries, I will let you know! |
I have added a page for the 7th movie today. It has the screenshots that were added yesterday, and now has the posters for the main movie and the Pikachu short. To start off, I would like to explain why the website was down for a few days. Someone was spamming the server, which took up a lot of space. Once it was deleted, everything worked normal, which is where we are now. I've added 5 new Pokedex Entries as today's update. The entries are for Surskit, Masquerain, Rayquaza, Jirachi, and Deoxys. To go to the Pokedex Page, to view any of the current entries that are up, click here. The Poke-Amph Forums recently got to 100 members! Make sure to join and post if you'd like by clicking here. |

The choice that has the most votes in a week or two will become a new board! Make you cast your vote! |

The release date for Colosseum in the US is March 22nd! Along with the release date, I have added over 50 new screenshots from Colosseum! That makes a total of 87 screenshots, with a lot more to come very soon! Some of the screens I took from movies, and others from magazines, and for that reason no one should take them without permission. Thanks to the official Pokemon website for some of the screenshots, Pokemon.co.jp. To go to the colosseum page with the links to all of the current screenshots, click here.

I added a new poll to the bottom of the right side bar today. It asks if you are going to buy Fire Red or Leaf Green. Personally, I can't wait for them to be released, and possibly relive some old memories! I know that other people might not want to get either because they think it will just be a rip off. Most people will probably be undecided since there hasn't been much info let out. So make sure to vote sometime! I also added a link to me page yesterday. So if you would like to add a button of mine onto your website, or onto your signature at a forum, then feel free to do so. Click here to go to the link to me page. |

Another new episode of Pokemon aired on Kid's WB today. It's name was "There's no place like Hoenn", and Ash had a battle with Gym Leader Norman, May's dad! The next episode of Pokemon Advanced will air on Kid's WB and is titled "You can never Taillow!". Make sure to see it!

Cartoon Network will be showing Pokemon: the First Movie today! The movie will start at 8:05pm (Eastern/Pacific), following the premiere of Star Wars Clone Wars. Also, CN will show the second and third movies in a few weeks! Pokemon: The Movie 2000 will be shown on November 14th, which is next Friday. Pokemon 3: The Movie will be shown on the 21th, which is also a Friday.

The new series of Pokemon started today! As most of you know, it is called Pokemon Advanced. The new series started off with the episode "Get the Show on the Road!" which was also shown a few months ago as a preview on Kid's WB. The episode has Ash and Pikachu going to Houenn for the first time. Remember, if you missed this episode, you can see it this coming Friday at 4:00. The names for Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green will not be the same for the US! Instead of having Leaf Green, Westerners will get Blue...again. They choose to do this because the original releases in Japan were Red and Green, wheras in North America and Europe they released Red and Blue. |

Sorry about not updating for such a long time. I would've had all this done two days ago but the power went out Tuesday, and I have to get driving time Wednesday. Ten more Colosseum screenshots have been added! They let you see what a Dark Pokemon looks like! One screenshot has a Makuhita with a dark purple-ish cloud around it, which means it is Dark. To see that screenshot, click here. The screenshots also show how you get around in the game. You can take a type of weird car, which you can see here. The other transportation is a regular train, which is shown here. In site news, I'll be working on Poke-Amph a lot more in the next week or two. I only have a three day week next week in school, as opposed to a five day week. Over the long weekend, I plan on getting some more Pokedex Entries, Red and Green pages, a CotW, and TCG scans up. Also, please go to the Fourm! We have over 200 posts, and 74 members!!! Click Here, or on the banner above, to go straight to the Forum. |

For todays update, I decided to add a few things. First off, I started taping the new Pokemon episodes on the WB every Saturday, so that means I can start doing reviews for the newer episodes. Today I made a summary of last weeks episode, Can't Beat the Heat!. It is the most detailes summary I've ever done, and hope to see more in the future. Click here to go to the episode guide section. Next off, I added more things to the TCG and TCG2 sections. I added 9 screenshots to the TCG section, American and Japanese. To the TCG2 section, I added 7 more screenshots and I added new Game Artwork. The Game Artwork is art that you could find in the instruction manual. Click here to go to the TCG section, and here to go to the TCG2 section. |
A new TCG set by the name of "EX Dragon" is supposedly set to be released in December of 2003. The wesite that I am getting this info from is Sportsline. To see the exact page with the release date and all of the pictures, click here. Now, before you get excited about a new set, first take a good look at all of the pictures. They will most likely strike you as different, and possibly fake. The artwork is different, which could mean they are fake, or Nintendo is using a different artist for booster designs. I personally think they are fake, mainly due to the fact that that website isn't known for any up to date Pokemon news like ign.com etc. Also, you might have noticed that the deck boxes are a different shape, they are trapezoid shaped instead of a square, which seems odd. Another point is the fact that the images definatly don't look like pictures from a camera, and look more computerized. The booster packs shown on the website show Latios, Latias, Rayquaza, and Absol. The Booster Packs once again have the recurring 9 cards enclosed. The Theme Decks are WindBlast, Grass and Lighting; and FireFang, types not shown. |

At the Tokyo Game Show yesterday, Nintendo said a brand new product called a wireless adapter is currently being manufactured by Motorola for the GameBoy Advance. The new wireless adapter acts as a link cable, it allows you to play games with other people. It is set apart from the link cable because you can play while being far away, Nintendo says you can be many meters away. The first game to support the new technology is Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green, it will let you battle people without being in the same room. To see an image of the wireless adapter, and how it is entered into the GBASP, click Here. Also, if you could please go to Poke Ball, Go! that would be great. It's a new RPG that a friend started a few weeks ago, and could always use some new members! |

A brand new TCG set will be in Japan on October 24th. This new sets full Japanese name is "Pokemon Card ADV EX 1: Magma VS Aqua - Two Ambitions" but can be shortened into Magma VS Aqua. Along with the set there will be two half-decks released; Team Magma half-deck W, and Team Aqua half-deck W. Each deck will have the corresponding type of Pokemon in it such as, Camerupt is in Team Magma's deck and Sharpedo is in Team Aqua's. Among the new cards, there are new energies...a total of two. The two new energies are the Aqua Energy, and the Magma Energy. I'm not sure what they do so far, but it's most likely that you can only use them on Team Aqua Pokemon and Team Magma Pokemon. Speaking of energy, it seems that certain Pokemon can use Darkness Energy even if they aren't darkness, maybe this we be a good factor while playing EX-on Modified!
To see some cards scans and deck scans, click on the following links: Booster Pack, Half-Decks, Aqua Energy, Magma Energy, Camerupt, Groudon, Sharpedo, TM 01 ?. |

The official way to get 1-251 Pokemon onto R/S has been made! It will be through the new games "Leaf Green" and "Flame Red"! These new games are actually remakes of the original Red & Blue, with improved graphics and more gameplay. They will both be compatiible with Ruby and Sapphire, so you can now get all Pokemon! You will be able to start with all the orignal starters. So far, the only media we have for it is one screenshot, which you can find, Here.

In other TCG news, starting today, there will be prerelease tournaments held at several locations commemorating the release of EX: Sandstorm. Since EX: Sandstorm is going to be released on the second of November, that means that you will have a chance to get the cards before everyone else! So I would suggest you check out Pokemon-TCG.com, and the Prerelease Tournament List. |

Wow, the fifth North American Pokemon anniversary will happen soon! Pokemon is celebrating 38 million games sold in North America, and a total of 110 million sold in the world! To help celebrate, Nintendo is releasing Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire on August 25th, and will cost $34.99! This anniversary will be held at the very last Eon Ticket Event in Topeka, Kansas, on September 1st. Which happens to be the place where Pokemon was first introduced to North America! The official Pokemon TCG website (Pokemon-TCG.com) has posted the new League Locations! To go to the League Locater page, click here. At that page, you can choose your state in a drop-down menu and it will display all the Leagues in that state, or you can enter your city name and it will display all the Leaugues in your city. If your city or state doesn't have a Leugue yet, but you had one when Wizards was running the TCG, just call your local card shop and tell them to join! Do you remember the GBA-TV? If you don't I will remind you. The GBA-TV lets you put cartridges into your GBA, and lets you play shows, such as Pokemon! It has been said that the name of GBA-TV will definatly be changed. The newer release date has not been set yet, though. |
