The New Poke-Amph!

Episode 080: Pokeball Peril

Ash and the others are finally on Valencia Island, part of the Orange Islands. They make their way to Prof. Ivy's laboratory, and find three of her assistants. They take the group to meet Ivy, who is on the beach training a Gyarados. Brock is smitten (as usual) with Ivy, who takes them back to her lab to show them the Pokeball she discovered. The Pokeball is gold and silver instead of the usual red and white, and have the letters G and S on the top (gee, I wonder what that means ^-^). Of course, Ivy and her assistants have been trying to open the ball, but to no avail. They call Prof. Oak who asks Ash to bring it back in one piece so he can study it and try to find out its secrets. Meanwhile, Team Rocket is on the island, finding the blimp in ruins, and not wanting to disappoint their boss, they get to work fixing it up. Ivy takes them on a tour of the island, most of which is actually a part of her laboratory. There Ash, Misty and Brock discover that the Pokemon on the island look different than the Pokemon in their homeland. Ivy tells them that the tropical climate has an effect on their appearance. Ivy calls the Pokemon for dinner, but one Pokemon, a Butterfree, refuses to eat. Ivy can't figure out why, but Brock knows; Butterfree doesn't like the taste of the food. Brock fixes that by adding some sweet stuff to the mix. Butterfree gobbles it right up. Back at the house, they find that it's a mess! And Brock finds himself in paradise; a whole house to clean! Just like home! He quickly cleans up the home and fixes everyone dinner. As everyone chows down, Brock feels like he's back with his family. That night, Ivy is out with her assistants studying Vileplume speading their pollent to drive away intruders. Brock comes by to bring them a midnight snack. Suddenly, a Raticade jumps out of the bushes and into the pollen! Ivy rushes out to save the Raticade and breathes in the toxic pollen. Brock and the assistants rush them both to the Pokemon Center, where they recover. The next day, Ash and Misty are ready to head back, but Brock isn't... he's decided to stay and take care of Ivy and the others, and learn more about raising Pokemon as well. Ash and Misty are sad to leave Brock behind, but they say their goodbyes and promise never to forget each other. Ash and Misty head back to Pallet Town by themselves. They go back to the airport, where they find a new blimp waiting for them! The pushy attendants shove them on board and into their seats. But as soon as the blimp is airborne, the attendants reveal themselves as Jessie and James and trap the friends in a cage. Team Rocket teases Ash and Misty, calling them runaway lovebirds. Suddenly, Jigglypuff shows up again! Team Rocket bails out to escape the song, but fall asleep while jumping out of the blimp. Ash, Misty and Pikachu fall asleep as well, still trapped in the cage and still on the runaway blimp! Where will they end up... and will they survive? Never fear, Brock fans! He comes back!
