Episode 079: A Scare in the Air

Ash and his friends stop at a store to stock up on supplies for their trip to Valencia Island, part of the Orange Islands when Brock comments on how it would be much faster to get there by Blimp. Ash decides to enter a raffle to win tickets and to Misty and Brock's surprise, he wins! They're on their way to Valencia Island! Meanwhile, Jessie, James and Meowth find themselves transfered to the Team Rocket Blimp Brigade! They promise their boss they will do their best, but Giovanni is counting on them... to screw up, if not to get rid of them, to collect on the insurance. Ash and the others arrive at the airfield and find the old blimp. They ask the ground crew which one they should board, but the men warn the kids that the blimps are dangerouns and haunted! The flight crew (Team Rocket, of course) of the blimp tell Ash that the men are just trying to scare them and escort their passangers onto the blimp. As the blimp takes flight, no one notices little Jigglypuff holding onto a cable! The blimp is in such bad shape, Ash even falls through the floor, but catches himself before he can plunge into the ocean. Dinner is served, but no one likes it much. Jessie, James and Meowth are all in the kitchen and slowly realize... if they're all in the kitchen... who is flying the blimp! Through some trial and error, they manage to get the hang of driving the blimp. But during the turbulance, Togepi is found missing! Meanwhile, Jigglypuff manages to get on board the blimp, get caught in a sheet, and scares Team Rocket, who think Jigglypuff is a ghost. Ash, Misty, Pikachu and Brock search for Togepi, when they find Team Rocket. During the ensuing battle, a huge hole is torn into the blimp. Togepi is found walking on a high beam, right over the hole. Misty climbs up to get it, with Bulbasaur supporting ing her with his vines. As this is happening, Meowth plots to steal Pikachu during the confusion of saving Togepi, but they are thwarted when the blimp shakes and fall out of the blimp (along with Jigglypuff, who sings them to sleep). After Togepi is rescued, Brock and the Pokemon manage to land the blimp.
